Nouvelles - Dan Abnett

Blood Games

Amon Tauromachian, one of the Emperor’s elite Custodian Guard, returns to the Imperial Palace after a year on one of the Blood Games by which these exalted heroes train. Tasked with a new mission, he is sent to the hives of Hy Brasil to check on the loyalty of a notorious troublemaker. With the galaxy at war and half the Imperium’s armies in rebellion, any hint of heresy on the Throneworld must be stamped out. Amon’s mission draws him into a web of deceit and betrayal, where no one can be trusted and nothing is at it seems. Can he unravel the truth and secure Terra for the Emperor?

The Keeler Image

In the 41st millennium, the past can be even more deadly than the present. The Horus Heresy may have happened ten thousand years ago, but the dark shadows of its history can never be fully excised. Inquisitor Eisenhorn travels to the world of Pallik, where, it is rumoured, a rare and ancient artefact from those terrible times has been put on sale. Eisenhorn and his team are plunged into a deadly game of cross and double-cross in a brand new story by the master of action-adventure fiction.
4.5/5

Forgotten

As they travel between warzones, veterans of the Tanith First and Only gather to tell tales and remember victories past. When it comes to Scout Sergeant Mkoll, his story, reluctantly told, is of a mist-shrouded battlefield in the night and a dangerous presence that lurked in the darkness, preying on the soldiers of the regiment. But just what horror could haunt the Ghosts?

In Memoriam

Vermilion Level

As Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt and his men – the Tanith First and Only – travel to a new war zone, Gaunt is drawn in to a mysterious conspiracy that could imperil the lives of all his men. Can he decipher the Vermilion level message that will reveal the truth before all is lost?
2/5

The Strange Demise of Titus Endor

Former contemporary of the legendary Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn, Titus Endor always thought he was destined for greatness. However, after a bout of unfortunate events and even more unfortunate decisions, Titus finds himself at the backwater edge of the galaxy, tracking an elusive heretic that will bring about his strange demise, a very strange demise indeed.
4.5/5

Perihelion

An outbreak of violence at an Inquisitorial conclave throws Gregor Eisenhorn into a deadly confrontation with a malevolent psyker — and an even deadlier one with his old friend Gideon Ravenor.
4/5

A Ghost Return

Long before the destruction of Tanith and the rise of its Ghosts, Commissar Ibram Gaunt serves with the Hyrkan regiments on the front lines of the newly-launched Sabbat Worlds Crusade. Descending beneath Sangrel Hive in search of an ancient shrine to Saint Sabbat herself, Gaunt and his men encounter something altogether more sinister.
4/5

Playing Patience

A young woman growing up in poverty on the dismal world of Sameter, Patience Kys has a remarkable gift. She knows what people are going to do, and she can move things with her mind. It is her greatest secret, and her deadliest talent. When her life spirals out of control, Patience is set on a crash course for destruction, until a chance encounter with Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor gives her a chance to use her powers for the good of the Imperium.
5/5
